The blue crab (Cardisoma crassum) is a hydro-biological resource traditionally used by the coastal populations of diverse countries, included Colombia, having periods of closed season for his conservation in countries as Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, where the reproductive stage of the animal is known. In Colombia, the animal is still not indexed by the official entities, and there is not enough information about the species. This study was carried out in order to evaluate the effect of three diets on the growth of this crab in conditions of farming. An experimental design was used with a distribution completely at random using three treatments (24, 30 and 40% of protein content). The study was realized for 30 days. Statistically significant differences did not exist in the treatments for the measurements of yield of the farming represented in weight, length, breadth and high place of the animals (P-value> 0.05). The average survival for the units of farming was superior to 83 %.
