The most recent debates about modernity and the subject appear the result, is a of transformations this of a series of changes that shake the world scenary since the late 70s, a period in which the phase of late capitalism  begain  the called "postmodernism "on industrialized countries. In this context the theory of justice of Ralws appears, trying to adapt the liberal egalitarian discourse to the needs of the new era, since the reformulation of classical liberalism, which is later continued by Dworkin and Nozick. In response to the construct of Ralws, in addition to the critique of  radical liberals "libertarian" such as Nozick, criticism 

by communitarians, those opposed to the monistic view of the individual appears. This paper intends to address in its general features the foundation of the theory of justice of Rawls, registered in the egalitarian liberalism (egalitarian liberals), emphasizing the underlying vision of the subject as the basis of his ethics proposal, and then emphasize the criticism that communitarians have made about it, especially Michael Walzer, and contributions to this debate that Chantal Mouffe has made, advo- cating multiparty democracy.
