Management of the solid wastes in the community Council Buenaventura-Colombia.

Manejo de residuos sólidos en el consejo comunitario de la comunidad negra de Citronela, Buenaventura — Colombia

The present study was doneto carry out a diagnostic of the solid wastes management in the Afro- colombian Community from Citronela (Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, Colombia). Then, it was stud- ied the generation, composition, source management, the gathering, transportation and the interme- diate storage, final management, environmental impact test, and exploitation practices or recycling.

Later, it was made an analysis to identify the weakness, opportunities, strengths and t hreats towards the solid waste management. Finally it was identified and seleted the best alternatives to manage adecuately the solid wastes in the community council tuking into acuerd five facts: enviro- mental, sociocultural, economical, normative and technical-operative. They all had a deliberation according to its relevance order for the study
